KO and SUB CUP report as underdogs shine bright..........

KO CUP....

        Only one ppremier side remains in KO CUP, and a second division side one win away from making league history.....

MANOR B (div one) had the result of the night with a superb 5-3 win over premier club CROMPOS, joining them in the semi finals with a chance to make league history is GREEN BAIZE (div two) who soundly beat division one high flyers OUR BAR 5-1, no lower tier side has ever appeared in the KO CUP FINAL.....

       In the all premier clash VILLAGE TAVERN raced into a 2-0 lead with wins for Curt Redfern and Craig Mears, but RED BAIZE soon got there act together with John Clowes beating Brewy Redfern and Jamie Latham breating Liam White .... further wins for Dean Hamiliton and Chris Cooper put Red Baize on the hill, Tavern pulled a frame back through Craig Mears but Reds Chris Cooper sealed a 5-3 win beating Taverns S Poole..... amazingly Red Baize are the only prem side left in the competition.

       Division one leaders LAMBOURNE make up the last four after coming through a tricky away tie to beat TOP BAIZE 5-2.

 

LES TAFT SUB CUP.....

       SMALLTHORNE VIC (formely Bradeley) are left flying the flag for division one after a solid 5-1 win away at BLACK LION, three high flying sides from top of division Two make up the semi finals, the TRAVS REST came from two down to storm past higher division rivals CUCKOO A 5-2 ......  BUCKNALL CLUB had a battle before over coming THE VINE 5-3 away.... and ABBEY SNEYD enjoyed a good night accounting for WEDGWOOD CRICKET CLUB 5-1.
